Statement of Beliefs

At Anchored, we hold firmly to the timeless truths of Scripture, rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our beliefs shape everything we do as we prepare and care for missionaries to engage the world with the good news.

1. We Believe in the Triune God

We worship one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Father is the Creator of all things, the Son is the Savior who died and rose to redeem us, and the Holy Spirit is our guide, empowering believers to live out their calling for God’s glory.

2. We Believe in Jesus Christ, Our Savior

Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He is the only way to salvation, and it is by grace through faith in Him that we are reconciled to God.

3. We Believe in the Authority of the Scriptures

The Bible is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word. It is the foundation for our faith and practice, equipping us for every good work and guiding us to make the gospel known to all nations.

4. We Believe in the Mission of the Church

We believe the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is the church’s primary mission. Every local church, as part of Christ's body, is called to engage the nations at all levels—from local (Jerusalem) to global (the ends of the earth). Mission work takes many forms, including evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and humanitarian aid, all centered on proclaiming the gospel.

5. We Believe in the Church as the Sender

The local church is the God-ordained authority for sending missionaries, whether independently or through an agency. We serve the church by equipping gospel workers to be well-prepared, resilient, and effective in their mission fields.

6. We Believe in Healthy Cooperation

We affirm the unity of the body of Christ across denominational lines, believing that appropriate cooperation for the sake of the gospel magnifies the name of Jesus and advances His kingdom.

7. We Believe in Missionary Resilience and Focus

Missionaries should be equipped to adapt, persevere, and avoid distractions, including entanglement in local politics. Instead, they should focus on gospel-centered solutions that meet both spiritual and physical needs with compassion and integrity.

8. We Believe in the Gospel Above All

Our work is centered on Jesus Christ and His gospel. We reject teachings that distort His message, including prosperity theology or doctrines that add to or take away from the sufficiency of Christ's finished work.

9. We Believe in the Hope of His Return

We live and labor with the hope that Christ will return to establish His kingdom in fullness. Until that day, we will remain faithful to His call to make disciples of all nations.

At Anchored, these beliefs guide us as we prepare, send, and care for missionaries. Together, we strive to see the name of Jesus proclaimed to the ends of the earth, with churches multiplying and disciples growing in every corner of the globe.
