Maybe you’ve returned home, plugged into your local church, and tried to settle into “normal life” again. But something in you still burns — a calling that hasn’t faded. You’ve lived through language learning, culture shock, leadership challenges, and spiritual highs and lows. You know what it’s like to cry over unreached people and wrestle with God in the quiet.

Legacy Connect exists for you.

What is Legacy Connect?

Legacy Connect is Anchored International’s global mentorship initiative, designed to connect seasoned missionaries with those preparing to go to the field for the first time.

We believe that the wisdom, scars, and stories of those who have been there are some of the most valuable resources in global missions today — and often, they’re sitting untapped in churches across the country.

Legacy Connect equips, supports, and connects retired or returning missionaries to become mentors, encouragers, and spiritual companions for the next generation of cross-cultural workers.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for retired or returning missionaries who:

  • Served overseas for at least 10 years

  • Have a heart to see others thrive long-term on the field

  • Are active in a local church but feel underutilized

  • Can commit to regular communication with one or more missionaries

  • Still feel the fire in their bones to be a part of God’s global mission

What you’re committing to:

As a Legacy Connect Mentor, you’ll commit to:

  • 🫶 Adopt 1–3 missionaries or missionary families to walk with over time

  • 📆 A minimum of 12 months of mentorship (renewable if you’re able)

  • 📞 One intentional call per month (Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp — whatever works best)

  • ✈️ One in-person visit per year, for rest, encouragement, and face-to-face connection

  • 🙏 A ministry of prayer, wisdom, and presence — walking with them, not just advising over them

We’ll give you the tools, the structure, and the support — you bring the heart & experience.

📆 Attend Legacy Connect Orientation (Fall 2025)
A 3-day in-person training and commissioning event, where you'll:

  • Learn Anchored’s mentorship framework

  • Connect with fellow legacy mentors

  • Be matched with one or more new missionaries

🌍 Get Paired + Start the Journey
Once paired, you’ll walk alongside your mentee(s) through regular check-ins, prayer, support, and guidance. You’ll help them process culture shock, celebrate wins, and stay grounded in Christ — just like you wish someone had done for you.
